The 14th Santiago Ibero-American LAB – SANFIC Industria 2026, held in Santiago, Chile, is a laboratory for fiction and documentary feature film projects in development, pre-production, or production. The call is open to projects from across Ibero-America, provided that their productions and representatives originate from or reside in Ibero-American countries. Projects must include an audiovisual sample, moodboard, or teaser.
Up to 28 projects will be selected across the fiction and documentary categories. Participants will receive group and individual mentoring from international experts, followed by a pitch session with international industry professionals. The initiative falls under the Laboratory and Pitch categories.
Applications close on August 31, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. Santiago, Chile time. The laboratory will take place in person from November 2–6, 2026.

Santiago Lab - Sanfic
Franzi Shorts is an international short film script competition. The winning script will be fully produced in Copenhagen by Franzi Films, in collaboration with Simple Rent. Writers worldwide can submit a 5–30-minute script or a story treatment. All genres are welcome.
Ten finalists will receive personalized feedback in a creative call. One winner will move into full production, with development support, travel to the shoot or premiere, and festival submissions included.
Participants agree to grant production and distribution rights if selected. Deadline to apply: September 15. Winner announced: September 30, 2025.

Franzi Shorts: Screenplay Competition
SANFIC Industria has opened applications for the 2026 VII Series LAB: Iberoamérica, a development lab for scripted fiction and unscripted non-fiction series projects at an advanced development stage. Applications are open to projects from across Ibero-America whose productions and representatives originate from and/or reside in countries within the region. Projects must have a confirmed director, screenwriter, and producer, and audiovisual materials such as a teaser, moodboard, or visual sample are positively valued.
The program will take place 100% online from October 26–29, 2026, offering mentoring and expert advisory sessions, one-on-one meetings, and pitch presentations to international audiovisual industry professionals and decision-makers. Participation is free of charge. The application deadline is August 31, 2026, at 12:00 PM Santiago, Chile time.

Series Lab - Sanfic
ABYCINE LANZA – Amnesty International Human Rights Short Film Competition 2026 is a Spanish call promoted by Amnesty International and Abycine, focused on the creation and promotion of short films addressing human rights issues. The call accepts international submissions that meet the established requirements, including a Spanish-language version when applicable.
The submission deadline is July 30, 2026, at 11:59 PM. The initiative takes place within the framework of Abycine Lanza 2026, as part of the Albacete Independent Film Festival program, scheduled for October 20–29, 2026.
The call is exclusively aimed at short films, with a maximum duration of 30 minutes. It accepts different genres and creative approaches, including fiction, documentary, animation, and other audiovisual formats. ABYCINE LAUNCHES – AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL
SANFIC – ODS LAB 2026 is an audiovisual development lab jointly organized by SANFIC Industria and Construir Cine, aimed at producers, directors, and screenwriters from Ibero-America. The call accepts fiction, documentary, and hybrid feature film projects addressing one or more of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda. Projects must be at an advanced stage of development and must not have started shooting.
The call is open to applicants over 18 and legal entities residing or registered in Ibero-American countries. The lab will take place entirely online from October 26 to 29, 2026, offering mentoring, training, and guidance in areas such as screenwriting, production, audiences, presentation, and distribution. It will conclude with private pitching sessions with representatives from festivals, funds, production companies, distributors, broadcasters, platforms, and organizations.
